News this week: Earlier this week, the Taiwan
International Fastener Show (Fastener
Taiwan) was the inaugural event at the official opening of the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center (KEC). The Fastener Show attracted 350 exhibitors and was held from 14th
to 15th April. Organisers estimate 2,000 overseas visitors attended
the two-day trade show. The KEC features gross indoor space of 18,000 m2
across two halls as well as 7,200 m2 of outdoor space.
There were 850
(standard) exhibitor booths, double the number recorded in the previous edition
in 2012, featuring fastener services, production, equipment, tools, testing
instruments and raw material.
According to the Taiwan
External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), which organised the show, more than 1,500 international
buyers applied through its global branches to participate at the show this year
– an increase of 30% compared with the 2012 edition.
