KLCC’s event numbers up 15% in 2011

News this week: The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (KLCC) reported record results for the financial year ended 31st December 2011. The number of events held at KLCC in 2011 increased 15% year-on-year rising from 1,167 events to 1,346. A total of 1.7 million delegates and visitors attended events at KLCC last year, which the venue estimates created an economic impact of US$217 million in Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia last year.

General manager of KLCC, Datuk Peter Brokenshire, commented, “In its seventh year of operations, the Centre has become not only a venue of choice in Malaysia and also internationally. Our continuing success can be attributed to having a world-class facility staffed by a knowledgeable and experienced team who remain committed to putting the company’s vision into action.”
